Mechanically locked metal roofing is the best type of metal roofing when it comes to installing solar panels, for two reasons:

• Firstly, it is built to last, so the likelihood of having to do a roof repair after solar installation is greatly minimized.
• The solar panels are attached to the standing seam, which bypasses having to put fasteners in the roof, further avoiding leakage.

This metal standing seam is double locked underneath the solar panel grid. It also has double clips underneath where the panels go, and it has S5 clamps, two of them for each mounting bracket that connects to the long rails that the solar panels will attach to. When these are installed, the roof is solar ready.
